I grew up in Libertyville from the age of 4. I attended Copeland Manor school, Highland and Libertyville Highschool. I went to Elmhurst College for my undergraduate degree in teaching Kindergarten through 9th grade. I have been working at Oak Grove School since the Fall of 1997 in the area of mathematics. Over the years I have worked in many different grade levels at different positions and enjoyed each of the opportunities to grow. During the first 15 years of my career I was focused on the area of Gifted Education and worked with so many of the best in our state, such as Mary Christiansen, Andy Mahoney, and many others. I attended many IAGC conferences as well as NAGC conferences and during the first 5 years of my career I earned 18 hours of masters credit in the area of gifted. I earned my Masters in Curriculum and Leadership in May of 2006 from St. Xavier University. I am so glad to have spent the past two years on the 6th grade team teaching math to all the 6th grade students. Math is a love of mine and my own personal goal is to help each of my students find the fun in math as well as know they can be successful. When I am not at school, I am a wife to my high school sweetheart and a proud mom of three girls and our family loves to go on camping adventures. I am so glad to be here at Oak Grove School each day!
